Nitai Aleksiewicz: I was born into a religion at one time considered a cult and named by a guru at birth. I was privy to a unique set of life experiences from Day One. Cultivated by my unique childhood, I have always been a highly curious, deep thinker seeking to know why I am the way I am, and how and why others are the way they are.

At 28, I lost my father and dear Aunt (who was like a second mother to me) to cancer within a year of each other. I was one of my father’s caretakers in the last few months of his life which he chose to end at an ashram in India. Those final months with my father had a profound impact on my understanding of myself and the way we can experience death and dying.  At the time I was also dealing with the worst heartbreak of my life and I could not ignore the parallels in literal death and the death of relationships.

I was compelled to explore the ways beyond the physical in which we experience ‘death.’ This started me on my path in assisting others during times of death, loss and transformation.

Not long after losing my father, I moved to Dublin, Ireland to study at Trinity College receiving my Masters in Gender and Sexuality. My research focus was trauma recovery, communication, and mediation. I  continued my education in the States receiving a 100 hour certification in Women’s Holistic Sexual Health. My experiences in facilitating resilience include working for the Dublin Rape Crisis Center and a Los Angeles Outpatient Drug Rehab. To me, nothing is more inspiring than human will and willingness. Currently I assist others through challenging life transitions and facilitate recovery from loss in all its forms as a Life Transition/Transformation Advisor. In addition, I strive to create connections and community where people can step fully into self-expression and empowered leadership.
