This isn't just a certification.

Online Training | July 18th - October 28th, 2026

Training Snapshot:

  • 16-week training, fully online
  • Pre-recorded content + 2 live sessions/month
  • Start practice teaching from Week 1
  • Receive weekly feedback & support from Mentors
  • Cohort-based (we start and finish together) - not fully self-paced.

You're here because yoga changed something for you.

And now, you want to go deeper.
Maybe even teach it to others.

You're being pulled to explore the teachings beyond the poses....and if we're honest....

You're being pulled to deepen your understanding of your body and the poses, too.

You know that yoga classes are only scratching the surface of what this practice is here to teach you...

And your soul is calling for the next step in your growth.

Inside this training, you will:

🧘‍♀️ Discover why and how these 5000+ year-old yogic practices work

🧘‍♂️ Dive deep into the philosophy that lives underneath the poses and how it supports your life

🧘‍♀️ Understand what's happening in the body beyond memorized cues

🧘‍♂️ Gain the tools and language to share yoga in a way that feels authentic, fun, and inspiring

Teacher Training Isn't Just for Future Yoga Teachers

Many people assume yoga teacher training is only for people who want to teach.

But that’s not actually true.

Some of the most powerful transformations happen for students who never plan to teach at all.

When you spend months focusing on the practice, your relationship with yoga evolves.

  • The poses start to make more sense.
  • The philosophy becomes real, not this thing you read in a book.
  • And the practice begins to show up in how you live your life - not just how you move your body.

Teacher training isn't just about learning to teach yoga.

It's about finding peace within yourself no matter what's going on in your life.

It's about knowing how you show up in the world, and making choices that are aligned with your purpose and your joy,

It’s about discovering who you are underneath all the "shoulds" life has placed on you.

If you're being called to your next level of growth, this is for you.

What Makes Yogi Flight School's Training Different?

Most yoga teacher trainings fall into two camps:

Rigid sequence trainings
You learn one sequence and repeat it forever.
(...which leaves little room for personality, creativity and critical thinking...)

Theory-heavy trainings
Lots of philosophy, but almost no real teaching experience.
(...leaving you with a whole lot of information, and very little self-confidence...)

We do neither.

Instead, Yogi Flight School's training focuses on three things:

Developing YOUR Teaching Voice

You won't become a copy of someone else.

You'll learn to teach yoga in a way that reflects your passions and personality.

Teaching from Day ONE

You begin practice teaching in Week 1, so confidence builds naturally.

At the end of our 16 weeks together, you'll have months of teaching under your belt.

Your Personal Transformation

We put a massive focus on Svadhyaya: Self Study.

Because being a yoga teacher is more than the asana - it's where you learn to see yourself clearly, and why you are how you are.

Let's get deeper...

This Program Develops YOU.

...your passions, your strengths, your interests -- and teaches you how to weave those into poignant, intelligent yoga classes.

🤔 Are you passionate about the physical practice, designing fun sequences and taking people on a movement journey?

🤔 Are you excited about breath work, meditation and controlling energy in the body?

🤔 Are you a science nerd fascinated with integrated anatomy and how yoga helps strengthen and support the body?

🤔 Are you passionate about inspiring, motivating and helping people realize they are more in control of their lives than they think?

Whatever your passion is (maybe you're not sure yet!), you'll develop it and learn to share it.

You'll Teach from Day 1

In many trainings…

You spend months learning. Then suddenly you're expected to teach.

That's terrifying.

In this program: You start practice teaching from the very beginning.

By the time you graduate, you will have:

  • taught dozens of practice mini-classes
  • received weekly feedback
  • refined your sequencing and cueing
  • developed confidence getting the words out

So when it's time to teach publicly…

you're ready.

Personal Transformation and Svadhyaya

The most powerful part of teacher training...

is the personal transformation that naturally occurs
as you bravely find your authentic voice and learn to embody what you love about yoga.

By the end of the 16 Weeks…

You'll notice a profound shift in how you relate to yoga.

  • The poses will make sense, not just feel familiar
  • Anatomy will become usable knowledge
  • You'll understand why practices are structured the way they are
  • You'll feel comfortable teaching, even to strangers

And perhaps most importantly…

You'll discover a deeper understanding of who you are.

Topics We Will Cover

These are the core areas we’ll explore throughout the training:

Asana & Alignment

Learn how to break down yoga poses so you understand what’s actually happening in the body and can explain it clearly even to a beginner.

We explore:

  • alignment principles
  • how to teach over 90 foundational poses
  • common mistakes and how to correct them
  • pose modifications for different bodies
  • how to use props effectively
Sequencing & Class Design

Learn how to design yoga classes that feel intentional and effective.

You'll learn:

  • how to structure a yoga class
  • how to create intelligent transitions
  • how to build sequences that support a peak pose
  • how to adapt sequences for different levels
Anatomy for Yoga

Instead of just memorizing muscles, you'll learn how anatomy actually applies to yoga practice.

This includes:

  • functional anatomy
  • how joints move in yoga poses and how to create space in the joints
  • how yoga strengthens and supports the body
  • how to guide students to explore their limits and avoid injury
Breathwork, Meditation & The Subtle Body

The subtle practices of breathing, meditation, bandhas and the subtle body is where the life-changing aspects of the practice come into focus.

This part of the training explores:

  • The Chakra System
  • Kundalini energy and its relationship with breathwork
  • how to guide breathing and meditation practices
  • how to develop a meditation and breathwork practice for yourself
Philosophy & History of Yoga

Understand the deeper roots of yoga so the practice has context and meaning.

You'll study:

  • the origins of yoga and how it evolved into what we practice today
  • core philosophical texts including The Yoga Sutras
  • the ethical and moral principles of yoga for transformation beyond the mat
  • how philosophy applies to modern life
Teaching Skills, Yoga Business & More

Finally, you'll learn how to actually teach so that taking your teaching into the world feels like a natural progression after your training.

This includes:

  • effective cueing and communication
  • the ethics of teaching yoga
  • crafting powerful Dharma talks & class themes
  • managing multiple levels of students in class
  • how to get hired as a yoga teacher and how to create your own opportunities, online and offline.

The goal is not for you to memorize a bunch of things so you can get a certificate.

The goal is to develop your critical thinking, your creativity, and your voice as a teacher...

So you can make an impact on your students, find a new level of peace within yourself, and have the option of a new career path if you want it.

Registration & Certification Requirements:

Yoga teacher training is a deep immersion into the practice.

Because of that, there are a few expectations we ask trainees to meet before joining the program — and a few requirements that must be completed in order to graduate and receive your certification.

These expectations aren’t meant to create barriers.

They exist so that everyone who joins the training is prepared to get the most out of the experience and so that the group can move through the program together in a meaningful way.

Experience with Yoga

This training is designed for people who already have a relationship with yoga and feel genuinely curious to explore the practice more deeply.

It is not for students who are brand new to the practice.

You don’t need to be able to do "advanced" poses, but you should have at minimum 1 year of consistent practice under your belt.

Consistent practice means at least weekly. Taking a yoga class once every 3 months for a year would not count as consistent.

Commitment to the Training Schedule

This program runs over 16 weeks, and the cohort moves through the material together.

That means trainees are expected to stay reasonably on pace with the weekly modules and complete assignments the week they are assigned so that feedback, discussions, and practice teaching can progress for the whole group.

Weekly homework includes things like:

  • practice teaching videos
  • reading assigned texts
  • crafting sequences

While life happens and some flexibility is possible, trainees should be prepared to dedicate 5-8 hours each week to completing the coursework.

(If you are consistently late with homework and assignments, you will be asked to return for a future training when you are able to commit.)

Technology & Community Participation

This training is conducted online and includes live calls, video submissions, and community interaction.

You should be comfortable using basic online tools and must have:

  • reliable internet (materials are not available for offline streaming)
  • the ability to record and submit video assignments (a phone camera is perfect)
  • a Facebook account to participate in the private training community (required)

The private training Facebook group is where we'll share announcements, answer questions, give you feedback on teaching homework and how the cohort stays connected throughout the training.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate and receive your 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate, trainees must:

  • complete all course modules and lessons
  • submit weekly homework assignments
  • attend the Welcome Call and Final Exam
  • pass the final teaching assessment

Certificates are issued once all program requirements are completed and tuition has been paid in full.

Throughout the training, you’ll receive feedback, mentorship, and guidance so you always know where you are in the process and what’s expected next.

Required Books

The Yamas & Niyamas by Deborah Adele
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, translation by Swami Satchidananda
The Key Muscles of Yoga by Dr. Ray Long

You will also receive a downloadable PDF course manual with additional readings, but plan to purchase these books by the time the training begins.

What You Get In This Training

Over the course of four months, this training will guide you through the philosophy, mechanics, and art of teaching yoga - while supporting your own personal growth inside the practice.

👉 Live Zoom sessions with Nathania, Abigail and your training mentors

Lead Instructors

The teaching team is the perfect mix of Yin and Yang. Nathania brings high energy and a fiery approach to the practice both in physical instruction and philosophy, and Abigail brings mindful, balanced and peaceful energy, creating the perfect balance of both. In yoga philosophy, this balance is called sattva, offering you a well-rounded taste of yoga with different approaches.

Nathania Stambouli

Nathania stumbled into yoga by accident in 2009, and the practice gave her permission and the courage to take ownership of her circumstances which resulted in a complete life change.
Through a dedicated yoga practice and pursuing her Master’s degree in Psychology, Nat unearthed a passion for helping others transform their lives, free themselves from restrictive behavior patterns and dare to be unapologetically real.

She believes that yoga, movement and a connected body and mind create a powerful gateway to self-love and personal growth.

Nathania is passionate about helping students explore and believe in their own potential with mindful, functional, creative and playful yoga classes that break out of the traditional yoga mold. She believes in showing you how your time on your mat can be a catalyst for both personal change and acceptance.

Nathania (E-RYT 500) earned her 200 hour certification in 2015 with Cheryl Moss and Kate Duyn at GODA Yoga, and her 300 hour certification in 2020 with Noah Mazé. She has over 1,000 additional hours of advanced trainings with Laughing Lotus, Annie Carpenter, Rocky Heron and Yoga Medicine, and has taught over 10,000 class hours and led six Teacher Trainings since 2017. Nathania currently owns and operates Yogi Flight School, as well as SoulTribe Adventures, leading retreats throughout the world.

Abigail Aller

Abigail is a yoga teacher specializing in Vinyasa, and Yin. She uses yoga to cultivate a balance between strength and flexibility, both physically and mentally.

Her classes are interwoven with philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda, and students can expect to find a calmer mind, a deeper breath, and a strengthened connection with their higher selves.

Abigail has a PhD in Geophysics, and her love of science translates to a deep-rooted interest in the physics of yoga. She has a passion for arm balances and inversions, and her background in dance brings a fluidity and playfulness to her teaching.

Abigail graduated from a 200hr YTT in Vinyasa and Ayurveda with the Atman Yoga School (Oslo, Norway) and has since completed several advanced trainings including 60hr in Yin and 5 element Chinese Medicine (Chi Therapeutics, Edinburgh), 50hr in Functional Yin (Bernie Clarke, Yoga International), 30hr in Yoga for Fertility (Bliss Baby Yoga, Australia), and Yogi Flight School’s own Inversion and Arm Balance Training.

Abigail Received her 300hr advanced YTT with Matt Giordano in 2022, and has led 4 teacher trainings at Yogi Flight School.

More Comments from Our Graduates

The Ivy League of Yoga Teacher Trainings

“It was clear to me that I was in the Harvard equivalent of yoga teacher training programs.”

I joined this YTT because I had never been formally taught yoga and I wanted a better understanding of the asanas, proper alignment, Sanskrit pose names, breathing techniques, and the history and philosophy of yoga. Nathania Stambouli and Abigail Aller went above and beyond my wildest expectations...

— Deanna K.

From insecure to confident!

“They helped us develop from insecure novices into confident, capable teachers.”

Prior to the course I had the idea that we needed to be in person, that online was going to mean we missed out on a lot of the training. That wasn't the case.

From the start to the end Abigail & Nathania have been helping us develop from insecure novices that had no idea, into more confident speaking, capable cueing, sequencing teachers.

If you are considering the opportunity of YFS YTT, I couldn’t recommend it enough.

— Paul K.

Transformation beyond yoga.

“The training deepened my understanding of yoga’s philosophy and gave me tools to face challenges in my personal life.”

Not only did it greatly enhance my knowledge of the physical poses but the training deepened my understanding of yoga's philosophy, giving me the tools to face many challenges I had in my personal life.

— Sarah T.

One of the best things to happen in my life.

“Completing yoga teacher training is in the top 10 best things that have ever happened in my life.”

I’m still blown away about the amount of information that I learned and that I retained by the time we approached the final weekend.

The friendships and bonds that this program helped to create and foster are among the most important treasures that I took away.

— Keishia G.
