4. PROTRACT YOUR SHOULDER BLADES

Shoulder blade protraction is essential for finding stability and strength in our arm balances.
Shoulder blade protraction refers to the movement of the shoulder blades away from the spine, towards the sides of the ribcage.
By actively protracting the shoulder blades, we engage the serratus anterior muscles, which support the stability of the shoulder girdle and distribute our weight evenly across the arms.
This engagement not only enhances the foundation for arm balances but also helps prevent strain and injury by promoting proper alignment and muscle activation.
In addition, shoulder blade protraction allows for a broader base of support, facilitating better control and balance during our upside down poses.
