Every arm balance starts with the relationship between your hands and the ground!

 

There's a concept in yoga called the Bandhas. Bandhas are energetic locks which we can use to create an upward lift away from the floor.

 

One of the most important Bandhas in arm balancing is Hasta Bandha - the hand lock.
