This is a great place to start and revisit as your practice progresses.
You'll get to dig into Crane Pose, One-Legged Crow, Funky One-Legged Crow and start to explore floating in and out of Crow Pose.
This is the gift that keeps on giving! No matter how good you get at the basics, there's always more to explore.

These “Figure 4” open hip shapes increase your range of motion, mobility, flexibility and strength in your outer hips and glutes.
Not to mention they look cool!
Even though this module can be a toughie for those of us with tight hips, there are plenty of big wins along the way to these funky shapes!
In this module, you'll rock:
+ Flying Pigeon (Eka Pada Galavasana)
+ Specific techniques to fly the back leg in Flying Pigeon
+ Grasshopper & Funky Arm Variations (Parsva Bhuja Dandasana)

MODULE 5
Headstands

In Module 5 we cover the 7 headstands from the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice.
Contrary to popular belief, when practiced safely (and if you don't have a neck injury), headstands pose little risk to your body.
Of course, you get to learn how to decompress your spine after practicing - which is also included here!
We start with Bound Headstand and Tripod, and then move on to different arm and leg variations.
The awesome thing about headstands is once you learn to balance off the wall in Bound and Tripod, the rest come easily - and you’ll feel like an absolute badass!
In this module you balance:
+ Bound Headstand A (Baddha Hasta Sirsasana A)
+ Tripod Headstand (Mukta Hasta Sirasasana A)
+ Bound Headstand B, C, D (Baddha Hasta Sirsasana B, C, D)

Handstand

We start at Square One and cover allllll the fundamentals you need to stand on your hands!
We start at the very beginning - shoulder actions, hands and finger engagement, kicking up to the wall, and walking up the wall.
Discover how to fall intentionally so you can eliminate the fear of falling and hurting yourself! THIS IS HUUUUGE!
You’ll play with balancing on the wall, and rock your balance OFF the wall!
Unlike most arm balances and inversions that can be unlocked quickly with the right tools, handstand truly is a journey in and of itself.
This module sets you up with a solid foundation and gives you the tools to finally ditch the wall if you’ve been stuck there for a while.

Forearm
Stand

Pinchaaaaaa!! (I mean, how cool is this?!)
Shake your tail feather in several variations of Pincha Mayurasana (Feathered Peacock Pose), AKA Forearm Stand.
You’ll see different entries into Pincha, like kicking up or walking up the wall.
We cover how to balance away from the wall, and feel comfortable doing so after learning techniques to bail safely.
And real talk - the only way to get off the wall is to practice off the wall, so you’ll get the tools you need to take those peacock feathers and fly them high!
In this module, you'll:
+ Identify your center of gravity
+ Learn to use your fingers as brakes
+ Forearm and hand positioning options for YOUR shoulder mobility
+ Balancing at the wall drills and skills
+ Middle-of-the-room balance drills and skills
+ Stag Leg and Split Leg variations

Backbend
Inversions

Time for backbends!
This is seriously cool and builds on everything we cover in Modules 6 & 7.
This is where you add backbends to Handstands and Pinchas!
Don’t be fooled by how they look - the backbend variations are often easier than the straight versions, because they allow you to use your chest and legs as counter-balances. (This is really all about physics)
Be prepared to unlock your Scorpion Pincha and Scorpion Handstand sooner than you can imagine!
This module also gets into Chinstand (Ganda Bherundasana), and prepares your body from head to toe with an epic backbend warmup and myofascial release exercises.
