Spend a week with Nathania and fellow yoga teachers relaxing, getting your cup filled deepening your skills at Yogi Flight School's very first Yoga Teachers' Retreat!
While Nathania has run over 28 retreats since 2016, this is the first retreat designed specifically for yoga teachers to connect, collaborate, recharge and up-level their teaching.
With stunning Sedona, Arizona as your backdrop, you'll have a chance to focus on your own practice, reconnect with nature on epic red rock hikes, dive deeper into topics like Yoga Business, Sequencing and Hands-On Adjustments and receive 50 units of Continuing Education credits.
Sedona is one of those places that makes you pause and helps you breathe. The vast red rock landscapes, the quiet desert energy and the views that take your breath away - it's magic!
This experience is equal parts vacation and professional development.
Each day will feature a workshop or discussion on a specific topic, with ample time to relax, connect and explore the insanely beautiful mountains of Sedona.
Daily Morning Vinyasa
to let you take off your teaching hat, allow yourself to be guided and reconnect to why you fell in love with the practice in the first place.
Workshop sessions & discussions
on yoga business, hands-on assists and cueing & sequencing, with Q&A, exercises and implementation/practice time.
Chill evening classes
to unwind and restore. Think delicious, candle-lit slow, deep stretch and yin-style sessions with Myofascial Release. Yum!
Hikes
in the stunning Sedona red rocks. Our resort has several hiking trails just half a mile from where we're staying, giving us amazing access to nature at our doorstep
Yoga Photo Shoots
on the resort property and on our hikes so you can go home with several great images to use to promote your classes and workshops
Group meals
at the resort and off-site at local restaurants in walking distance to mix it up a little!
Games and connection activities
that remind you what it’s like to let loose, laugh with abandon, be at ease in your body and be loved and embraced for exactly who you are
Yoga Business
Whether you are teaching studio or private classes, creating or growing an online offering or running retreats or trainings, we'll dig into current best practices for building your audience, launching new in-person or online offers and making an amazing living from your teaching.
Hands-On Adjustments
Hands-on adjustments are sadly a dying art. While they've received a bad reputation especially over the past decade, they can be extremely beneficial in helping students understand poses in the way words and cues cannot. Prepare to leave feeling much more confident about adjusting your students in a variety of poses.
Cueing & Sequencing
We'll dive into pose analysis and cueing to refine your teaching, and we'll play with sequencing so that you feel re-energized to approach your classes through a new or refreshed lens. We'll look at strategically building classes towards peak poses and/or arm balances and inversions for students of all levels, and give you a chance to test new sequencing ideas on your fellow teachers.
And get post-retreat support
To support your integration of everything you learn, the retreat includes 6 weeks of post-retreat integration.
You'll have direct access to Nathania for 6 weeks after the retreat in a private attendee-only chat to ask any questions that come up, and we will meet for 3 Q&A & Integration Calls on Zoom on December 6, 20 and January 3. Call times TBA.
Featuring Guest Instructor: John Salisbury
The Hands-On Adjustments workshops on this retreat will be facilitated by Nathania's current teacher, John Salisbury; founder of Modern Yoga Scottsdale.
John has been teaching for 20+ years and trained formally with renowned Ashtanga teachers Tim Miller and David Swenson. He is known for his exceptional teaching technique (and badass playlists) and has some of the best hands-on adjustments Nathania has ever experienced. It is truly an honor to be able to host him to share his teachings at the retreat!
