A week for yoga teachers to reconnect to their own practice, refine their skills, and return home inspired, energized and better equipped to lead.
If you’ve been teaching for a while, you know the weird tension of loving what you do and also feeling like you’re running on fumes.
You care deeply about your students.
You want to give them your best.
You want your classes to feel intentional, impactful, and alive.
But when you’re constantly teaching, holding space, cueing, planning, marketing, answering messages, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with this career... it gets very easy to end up depleted.
Your own practice slips.
Your creativity gets stale.
Your classes start to feel a little flat.
And even when you still love teaching, you know you’re not feeling as inspired as you could be.
This retreat was created for that moment.
Yogi Flight School’s first retreat designed specifically for yoga teachers is part retreat, part advanced continuing education, and part reset for the teacher behind the teaching.
Set against Sedona’s red rock landscape, this week is designed to help you refill your cup, deepen your skills, reconnect to your voice as a teacher, and step back into your work with fresh inspiration, stronger tools, and a clearer vision for what comes next.
You’ll be working directly with Nathania in classes and workshops, with plenty of opportunity for feedback and support - and you’ll spend the week practicing, hiking, connecting, relaxing, and expanding alongside other teachers who get it.
Through trainings on yoga business, cueing and sequencing, and hands-on adjustments, plus daily classes, post-retreat integration support, and 50 hours of Continuing Education, this is not just a getaway.
It is an investment in you and in the next chapter of your teaching.
This retreat is built for yoga teachers who already have some experience under their belt and are ready to grow.
Teachers who have done a training, have been teaching for a while, and know there’s another level they haven’t quite accessed yet.
If you’re looking to deepen your skills, refine how you teach, and feel more aligned with the kind of teacher you actually want to be, you’ll get a lot out of this week.
If you’re brand new to yoga or not teaching yet, this probably isn’t the right fit.
This week is designed to give you both structure and space.
You’ll have intentional practices and workshops each day to support your growth as a teacher, along with plenty of time to relax, explore, and actually enjoy being somewhere beautiful without a packed, exhausting schedule.
Each day will have a natural rhythm:
- Morning practice to reconnect to your body and your own experience of yoga
- Midday workshops and discussions to expand your skills and teaching
- Afternoons to rest, explore, hike, or hang out
- Evenings to unwind, restore, and integrate
You won’t feel rushed.
You also won’t feel like you’re wasting the opportunity
Daily Morning Vinyasa
Start your day on the mat without having to think or teach. Just show up, be guided, and reconnect to your own practice. Remember what it feels like to be a student again.
Workshop & Discussions
Each day includes focused, interactive sessions on yoga business, cueing, sequencing, and hands-on adjustments. You’ll be asking questions, testing ideas, practicing, and getting real-time feedback so you leave with tools you can use.
Evening Classes & Myofascial Release
Slow things down at the end of the day with candle-lit, restorative, and deep stretch sessions. Expect a mix of yin-style classes and myofascial release to help your body recover, reset, and feel good again.
Hikes in Sedona
With trails just minutes from the resort, you’ll have easy access to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country, whether you want a quiet solo walk or a group hike. You're not just looking at the red rocks - you're in them!
Yoga Photo Shoots
You’ll leave with awesome photos of your practice in a setting that actually reflects your work. Not awkward studio shots. Usable images you can bring back to your website, your socials, and your brand.
Group meals
Shared meals at the resort and at local spots give you a chance to connect. Good food, good conversations, and time to actually sit and enjoy.
Connection & Community
This is a room full of people who understand what it’s like to teach. The conversations you’ll have here are different. Deeper. Expect to laugh a lot, learn from each other, and leave with relationships that last beyond the week.
This isn’t a packed itinerary designed to keep you busy.
It’s a well-paced experience designed to help you reset, reconnect, and expand without burning you out in the process.
Yoga Business
Whether you’re teaching in studios, privately, or building something online, we’ll look at what actually moves the needle in your business right now.
You’ll walk away with:
- clearer direction on how to grow your audience
- ideas for offers, workshops, or trainings you can create or refine
- a better understanding of how to position yourself so the right people find you
This is about making your teaching sustainable, not just something you piece together week by week.
Hands-On Adjustments
Hands-on work has gotten complicated over the years, but when done well, it is one of the most powerful tools you have as a teacher.
You’ll learn:
- how to approach adjustments in a way that feels safe, clear, and effective
- how to use touch to help students understand shapes in a way words alone can’t
- how to adjust a range of common poses with confidence
You won’t just watch. You’ll practice, receive feedback, and leave knowing what you’re doing.
Cueing & Sequencing
This is where your classes start to feel intentional instead of improvised.
We’ll break down:
- how to analyze poses so you understand what actually needs to happen in the body
- how to cue more clearly and effectively so your students get it faster
- how to build sequences that make sense, instead of just stringing poses together
You’ll have time to experiment, test your ideas on other teachers, and refine your approach so you leave with a more confident, structured way of building classes.
And It Doesn’t End When You Go Home!
Most retreats feel amazing while you’re there.
And then real life kicks back in.
You’re back to teaching, back to your schedule, and a lot of what you learned starts to fade because you don’t have space to keep working with it.
This retreat is designed differently.
For 6 weeks after we leave Sedona, you’ll have direct access to Nathania and the group inside a private, attendee-only space where you can ask questions, get feedback, and keep refining what you learned.
We’ll also meet for 3 live Q&A and integration calls on Zoom so you can:
- get support as you start applying what you learned
- troubleshoot real situations from your classes
- stay connected to the momentum you built during the week
This is where the work actually sticks.
Where you take what you experienced during the retreat and turn it into something that shows up in your teaching long after it’s over.
Call Dates: December 6, 20 and January 3. Call times TBA.
By the end of the week, you won’t just have more information.
You’ll have a clearer way of thinking about your teaching and a stronger skill set to back it up.
Your Teacher For The Week
Nathania Stambouli
Is the founder of Yogi Flight School and has taught thousands of students and teachers how to refine their asana practice and gain a deeper understanding of how poses actually work.
Her approach is rooted in mechanics, physics, and clear, actionable (and entertaining) cueing, not vague instructions or “just feel it” teaching.
She’s known for her direct, no-BS style and her ability to take things that feel complicated or inaccessible and make them click.
During this retreat, you’ll be working directly with Nathania in classes and workshops all week, with real-time feedback and support as you refine how you teach.
Nathania has run multiple teacher trainings since 2016, including 200, 300 hour and specialized trainings in arm balances and inversions, myofascial release and more.
AND! Featuring a guest instructor: John Salisbury
The Hands-On Adjustments portion of this retreat will be led by Nathania’s current teacher, John Salisbury, founder of Modern Yoga Scottsdale.
John has over 20 years of teaching experience and trained extensively with renowned Ashtanga teachers Tim Miller and David Swenson. He is known for his precision, depth of knowledge, and ability to help students understand poses through clear, effective hands-on work.
If you’ve ever felt unsure about how to approach adjustments, or avoided them altogether, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who has spent decades refining this skill.
You’ll not only observe his approach, you’ll practice it, receive feedback, and build confidence in a part of teaching that most teachers never fully develop.
Having him teach this portion of the retreat adds a level of depth and expertise that is rarely available in a setting like this.
By the end of the retreat...
You’re not just going home with notes.
You’re going home:
- teaching with more clarity and confidence
- cueing in a way your students understand more clearly
- building classes that feel structured and intentional
- feeling reconnected to your own practice
- with a clearer sense of what you want to create next in your teaching career
Where You’ll Be Living For The Week
We’ll be staying at The Wilde Resort and Spa, right in the heart of Sedona, surrounded by red rock views and easy access to some of the most beautiful trails in the area.
This isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s the container for your entire experience.
With dedicated indoor and rooftop spaces for our practices, comfortable rooms, and plenty of quiet corners to rest, read, or connect, the environment is designed to support both your learning and your downtime.
You’ll have the option of a private room or a shared room with another attendee, both with en-suite bathrooms, so you can choose the level of space and privacy that works best for you.
And if you want to take things a step further, the on-site spa offers treatments and services so you can fully lean into the “refill your cup” part of the week.
